From KCET and reporter Carren Jao: “The NELA RC (Northeast Los Angeles Riverfront Collaborative) is a(n)… effort to build an identifiable Riverfront District along an eight-mile stretch of the river. The district comprises all of Atwater Village and Elysian Valley and portions of Lincoln Heights, Cypress Park and Glassell Park.”

Curbed LA’s Adrian Glick Kudler calls it a “game changer,” and adds that the RC will also be looking into “bike and car sharing along the river, encouraging job creation that makes sense for the workers in the area, and ‘turning the district into a regional food hub,’ among many other efforts.”

This is wonderful news for residents of Glassell Park, Atwater Village and other great NELA neighborhoods, which were “hot” even before this announcement. Want to get to know NELA better? Contact Tracy Do Real Estate, a great place to begin your NELA home search or sale.
