Andrew Khouri’s report in today’s LA Times points to a decline in US home sales in March, due largely to rising prices and the resulting “sticker shock.” We won’t argue with the statistics, however what we’re seeing locally — which only occasionally aligns with the national housing picture — is not so much buyer concern as it is a clear lack of inventory.
