Home Prices Tick Slightly Downward

The LA Times report is very much in line what we’ve been seeing for the past several weeks. An increase in inventory is the likely culprit, among other small factors.

“The seasonal forces are in place,” said CoreLogic analyst Andrew LePage. “It is normal to see a dip in the median.”

A Great Day at NELA Union

Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 9.57.45 AM

Yesterday morning the last new NELA Union residence was delivered to its owner, which carried significant meaning for our team here at Tracy Do Real Estate. After all when Warmington Residential retained our services, NELA Union was nothing more than a vacant patch of dirt. We watched as 52 beautiful new townhouses took shape and had the pleasure of working with a wonderful group of buyers — and a simply amazing builder/seller. With pride we closed our first escrow in July of 2014. Yesterday, with the handover of the last set of keys, our journey at NELA Union reached it’s completion.

The text posted above came from a homeowner, one of the very first buyers whom we assisted (name blurred for privacy). We are so happy for him and his spouse, and for everyone who has made their happy home at NELA Union.

Echo Park Victorian

A drive through Historic Angelino Heights, on the eastern edge of Echo Park, is like a trip through a time machine. These are some of the oldest and most coveted homes in LA, but there are very few of them. It’s rare that they are offered for sale.

Here, then, is a great opportunity. This 1901 Victorian has been painstakingly restored and also updated. You get loads of space, a great location, and just look at that woodwork.

For details and a photo tour head here. For a tour contact Tracy Do Real Estate.

Renting is Expensive and LA Takes the Prize

According to msn.com…

Time to buy? It makes more sense now than ever before, for lots of reasons including this one. Renting does make sense for some people and certain circumstances. But if you can afford the down payment for a home, you must consider buying one — and soon. Interest rates remain low amidst stock market fluctuations, but according to most financial experts those rates will be rising in the near future.

Getting started in your home search is easy. Contact us today at Tracy Do Real Estate.
